The visual identity design was inspired by a traditional Chinese proverb of “A hundred flowers bloom”, signifying the blossom of the design industry in Macao. Flowers symbolize elegance and beauty, and beautiful flowers can create a relaxing atmosphere and bring people a sense of joy. The overall design uses silvery-grey as the main color to bring a sense of modernity. Silver also represents the aim of the event is to bring out new design power. The classic fonts combined with the 3D illustrations are the perfect demonstration of Macao’s intergenerational design industry, cultivating a modernist aesthetic feel for the exhibition. The metallic textured flowers add personality to the overall design, signifying the diversity in Macao design.
The event was a great success with a high online and offline presence. The exhibition brings together the works of young Macao designers, while the exhibition guided tour leads the general public to explore the latest design trends.
